Sauna Temperature Guide
Our infrared saunas are optimally used between 110°F and 120°F as infrared wavelengths heat your body directly at the cellular level. This allows you to get an incredibly deep detox from the inside out.
The deep penetration of infrared provides a deep detox and helps with inflammation/muscle pain reduction as well as joint pain reduction.
There are many factors that could affect the max temp, which is not as important with infrared — the efficiency and EMF levels of the heaters are what makes a world-class infrared sauna.
With proper electrical setup and optimal conditions (room temperature between 65–70°F) the following maximum temperatures can be expected:
- Luminar Outdoor Saunas: ~170°F
- Eclipse Indoor Infrared Saunas: ~165°F
- Equinox Full-Spectrum Saunas: ~155°F
- Solstice Far-Infrared Saunas: ~140°F
The time it takes to reach temperature will vary with room temperature and/or weather, but under optimal conditions it can take about 30–60 minutes to reach 120°F (depending on the model), and longer for the higher temperatures.
InfraredTemperatureFull-Spectrum vs. Far Infrared
When we say full-spectrum infrared or far infrared, we are talking about the wavelengths emitted by the infrared heaters and the health benefits associated with those specific wavelengths.
Below are the different levels of the electromagnetic spectrum from shortest to longest wavelength:
- Red (visible) — shortest wavelength, shallow penetration
- Near Infrared (not visible)
- Mid Infrared (not visible)
- Far Infrared (not visible) — longest wavelength, deepest penetration
While red light, near infrared, and mid infrared are great for skin health, anti-aging, and cognitive health, most of the heavy-duty health benefits (deep detox, inflammation reduction, pain relief) come from far infrared — the deepest-penetrating wavelength.
Full-spectrum saunas (Equinox, Luminar) deliver all wavelengths simultaneously. Far-infrared saunas (Solstice) focus on far infrared for targeted deep detox.
TechnologyInfraredEquinox vs. Solstice — Which Is Right for You?
The Equinox saunas are full-spectrum and reach up to 155°F. They deliver near, mid, and far infrared for the broadest range of health benefits.
The Solstice saunas are far-infrared only and reach up to 140°F. They focus on deep-penetrating far infrared for targeted detox and pain relief at a more accessible price point.
Both lines feature our patented EMF shielding (0.5 mG), eco-certified Eucalyptus wood, and tool-free magnetic assembly.
ComparisonIndoor SaunasCan I Use the Equinox or Solstice Outdoors?
The Equinox and Solstice saunas are designed for indoor use and are not weatherproof.
If the sauna will be in an entirely enclosed space such as a covered patio with walls or windows, a garage, or basement, those can be appropriate applications as long as the sauna will not be exposed to any kind of precipitation or wind.
For outdoor use, our Luminar Outdoor sauna is engineered with aerospace-grade aluminum to withstand all weather conditions — rated the #1 outdoor sauna by Variety, Rolling Stone, and the New York Post.
PlacementOutdoorDelivery & Assembly — What to Expect
The delivery company will call you a few days out to schedule a delivery time to make sure you are home. Your sauna will be delivered as close to your garage as possible. If there is anything impeding the truck's pathway (low-hanging branches, steep or narrow drive), they will deliver the crate at the end of your driveway.
All of our indoor sauna boxes are meant to fit through doorways and be taken up/down stairs. The heaviest box will be about 150 lbs.
For assembly, there are no power tools required. All holes are pre-drilled to make for easier installation. An instructional video is provided and assembly typically takes 30–60 minutes with 2 people.
For professional installation, many of our customers use Pure Install.
DeliveryAssemblyHow to Clean & Maintain Your Sauna
Follow these simple steps to keep your sauna clean (always while the sauna is turned off completely):
- After use, wipe down bench and floor with dry microfiber or other soft cloth. For any areas with moisture build-up, use a dry sponge to soak up excess moisture.
- Open the roof vent and/or door. Leave open overnight, or for at least 2 hours after each session.
- Using a natural cleaner or 1/2 white vinegar + 1/2 water solution, lightly spray a microfiber towel to wipe down interior surfaces.
Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners on the wood. A gentle, natural approach keeps the wood looking beautiful for years.

Cold Plunge Pro — Flow & Filtration Issues
If you're having flow or filtration issues with your Cold Plunge Pro, try the following steps:
- Check the water level — Make sure the tub is filled at least 1 inch above the jets inside the tub where water flows out.
- Inspect the filters — Ensure the filter cups inside the tub are clean, properly seated, and free from damage.
- Power cycle the unit — Turn off the unit at the control panel, unplug it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Flush the jet ports — While the unit is running, temporarily remove the filter cups and let the unobstructed water flow for 30 seconds to clear any debris.
If the issue persists after these steps, contact our technical support team — we'll get you sorted out.

RLT Panel InstructionsSauna Blanket Not Heating?
If your sauna blanket isn't heating properly, check the following:
- Temperature setting — Make sure you've set it to your desired temperature
- Plug connection — The most common issue is a loose plug connection to the blanket. Check that it's firmly seated
- Heat-up time — Give it at least 15 minutes to fully heat up before use
- Full coverage — Make sure you're going all the way in with your shoulders inside the blanket for best heat retention
- Thermometer test — If it feels warm but not hot enough, place a thermometer inside to check actual temperature
If none of these solve the issue, contact our support team with a photo or video and we'll get it resolved.
BlanketTroubleshootingRLT Mask Not Working?
If your red light therapy mask isn't working properly:
- Disconnect the mask from the remote while charging. The remote will not charge properly if the mask is plugged in.
- Use the original USB-C cable and a reliable wall outlet or charging block (not a laptop or other device port)
- Charge the remote for at least 2 hours before trying to use it again
- Once charged, reconnect the mask and hold down the power button for a few seconds to turn it on
If the mask still doesn't power on after a full charge, reach out to our support team for a replacement.
RLT MaskTroubleshootingRoom of Choice Delivery Service
We offer Room of Choice delivery for $795, which includes:
- Uncrating the sauna
- Moving each piece to your desired setup location
- Removal and disposal of all trash and packing materials
